Global Day of Action- Greenpeace Parade
Sunday 15th September 2012
This Sunday Aurora, the double-decker bus sized polar bear, took to the streets of London in order to protest against Shell drilling in the Arctic. There were people manning the bear from the inside who carried him, followed by bikers and supporters, all of which stopped traffic as they went through. On the bear were ribbons with over 3.7 million names which were collected before the event.
Over thousands of people joined the parade by walking and dancing through the streets of London, through Westminster, the London Eye and towards Shells Headquarters along south bank. People then joined together and wrote messages in front of the Headquarters on the street with chalk, as shown in the photo.
Hopefully this will encourage more support and donations towards this important cause.

Gale Song - The Lumineers
I am not a big fan of The Hunger Games, the books or the movies, but the soundtrack they made for Catching Fire had some good bands on it. I was, however, confused as to why they even made a soundtrack, considering none of the songs actually played during the movie…
Anyways, Gale Song by The Lumineers is a very lovely song and every time I hear it, it makes me hope they start work on a new album very soon. I need some more Lumineers in my life. You do not need to be a fan of The Hunger Games or know anything about it to like the song. Just put it on and relax. Enjoy your Sunday.
And all this too shall pass
This loneliness won’t last for long
I wasn’t there to take his place
I was ten thousand miles away
So when you hear my voice
When you say my name
May it never give you pain
“I think I was so drawn to her character in this movie because, for all of the “craziness” society and people have bestowed on her, she absolutely owns up to all of them. She’s slept with people in her office because she was depressed her husband died. People call her a slut. So what? We’ve all got problems. Why do we judge people?" - Jennifer Lawrence on her character in Silver Linings Playbook, Tiffany Maxwell
